FAQ: How much will the project cost?

It has initially been estimated that Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels (SSRS) will cost an estimated £1,160,666 over three years. 

Project partners Scottish Natural Heritage has already pledged £524,984 over 3 years to the project, and Forestry Commission Scotland a further £21,000.  Lead partner, Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT) has lead the fundraising for the remaining £614,682, and is currently working to secure the outstanding £103,000.  SWT is a charity organisation working to advance the conservation of Scotland’s wildlife for the benefit of present and future generations.  We need your help to save Scotland’s red squirrel.  Donate today or get involved with our project to help us protect an iconic member of Scotland’s native wildlife.
