Blackmuir Wood
Blackmuir Wood (Woodland Trust) - Muirhead, Angus (NH 478 574)
This wood forms the southern boundary of the Victorian spa village of Strathpeffer. You may see some of the resident red squirrels as you explore the network of forest trails, along with other highlights along the way such as kestrels and buzzards, and a veteran beech tree thought to date back to the 1800s.
